Netbook Vs Laptop

Class season is in progress, and you are may wondering what the differences are between a netbook and laptop when you are interested in purchasing one of them. I highly recommend both of them, but it really depends on what you will use it for.

 - Price
You will find that the netbook will be slightly more inexpensive than your usual notebook. It all depends on the brand that you are interested in... But I have seen the differences as high as $450 and $550.

- Size
Netbooks will be much smaller, and weigh a lot less than your usual laptop. Laptop screens are vary greatly from 7 inches to as much as 20 inches, but you will find that most netbook screens vary just from 8 inches to as much as 12.

- Speed
Some netbooks are fast but a fair majority of them are slower than your usual notebook. The higher you go in your speeds, the more you are likely to pay. Because you will find that some have a limited hard drive storage and amount of RAM.

- Less Features
While you like a netbook for its size and its price, their features are not as great as a laptop. For example, mine did not come with a CD rom, making me have to download some softwares or import it via a USB drive.  It is not that big of a hassle, but that is something to consider.

From now on, this should give you a fair idea of what each is all about.  I would highly recommend that if you have a higher budget and you need to run CDs, or you prefer a faster computer, i would go to the more expensive route with the laptop. But if your budget is low and you just run smaller programs, i would highly prefer a netbook.

Mini laptops aren't as powerful as bigger notebook computers, and lack the power for big, demanding programs as well as an optical disc drive - so no CDs or DVDs. None the less, connectivity is a central focus for netbooks. Internet downloads are quickly catching up on hard media products, so perhaps it's not such a loss. The difference between laptops and netbooks may seem very vague, but there is certainly space for both to function.

I'll also prefer laptop than a netbook, because laptop can use at various places and for many purposes, but netbook only can use for internet.

Today netbooks are the new and latest players in portable computing movement.
netbooks are very much cheaper than laptops. netbooks are also consider smaller. Generally netbooks have screen sizes of 8 to 10 inches and weigh less than 6 pounds.
laptops can have screens as big 17 inches or more. Netbooks also come with smaller hard drives and, as is discussed below, lower computing power. At the same time, they benefit from their portability and exceptional connectivity.
